Local Amenities

There are plenty of places to explore locally, whether you are looking to spend the day by the river, at the beach, the zoo or to enjoy a local walk with a pub lunch, at Three Rivers, on the River Waveney there is so much to explore and to keep you occupied.

Situated along the Waveney River, our site is a great place to explore what the river, and Geldeston Village has to offer. We are very fortunate to have not one but two local pubs within walking distance to the campsite - one of these pubs can even be accessed by boat just along the river from the campsite. Down the road a local farm shop can also be found, providing fresh, local produce.

Our locals…

The Wherry Inn
The Wherry Inn, an Adnams Pub managed by Janet & John only a third of a mile away. This pub provides a warm and friendly atmosphere in a traditional setting with open fires in the winter and a beautiful courtyard and beer garden. Families and dogs are welcome for drinks and meals.

The Geldeston Locks
The Geldeston Locks is roughly two thirds of a mile walk from Three Rivers, surrounded by fields which hold farm animals. Alternatively, this pub can easily be reached by boat and there is plenty of space to moor up or take your boats into the beer garden with you. This pub has recently been through a big transition and after it went up for auction it was bought via shares by the local community who are passionate about ensuring this hidden gem continues trading.

Mandy’s Farmhouse Pickles
Mandy is now offering several different treats to visitors to the farm shop and also home delivery. There is an ever growing list of treat boxes to spoil yourself. Everyone is catered for from the little ones with Teddy Bears Picnic boxes through to the "grown ups" with Afternoon Teas. If you are walking or cycling past the shop then why not pop in and pick up a picnic bag for your lunch! They also offer a seating area open from 10am - 4pm for you to have a hot or cold drink and try some of our delicious food

The Olive Tree
The Olive Tree is a beautifully presented bar and restaurant set in the charming village of Kirby Cane on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. Renowned throughout the local community for serving truly exquisite Italian cuisine, a visit to our restaurant is not to be missed or forgotten.

Maisebrook Farm Shop
You can walk to Maisebrook Farm Shop from our site by footpaths past the Geldeston Locks Pub over the footbridge and carrying on up the Locks Lane on the Barsham side. Only just over a mile away. Maisebrook is a small Farm, Shop and Butchery. We Breed and rear our own free range Wild Boar, Pigs and Chickens as well as processing seasonal game.
